Good afternoon! This is a message from the Northern Bands on Wednesday, April 29
What an exciting weekend for the Northern Bands! We are hosting almost 30 bands from around Eastern Michigan. we could use your help in 3 ways:
- We are still in desperate need of volunteers. We will have over 1500 students in our building for the next three days. Please consider giving us three hours of your time by volunteering to help with concessions or as an Usher. I understand that some families aren’t in a position to participate in fund raisers. A few hours could make for lighter work for the others that have stepped up.
- Please encourage your student to volunteer a shift. It’s an easy way to contribute to the cause.
- If you can’t help with a shift, please consider making a contribution to the bake sale that we run throughout the weekend. A cake, a tray of cookies, some muffins, rice krispy treats… anything would be a great help.
Freshmen band members should bring their concert black outfits to school. If there are any problems with any uniform, please let us know by Thursday. Check your uniform tonight.
As always, parents are encouraged to attend and support the bands at concert and festival performances. Knowing you are out listening to them really does contribute to the energy of the performance..

The Symphonic Band will perform at at 7:00 PM and
The Northern Winds will perform at 8:45
